This 2005 release on the Electroshock label from well established film score writer and composer Edward Artemiev is a collection of scores written for theatre plays and motion pictures, covering a time span from 1987 to 2000. The pieces are in the manner of 18th to 19th century orchestral music. Artemiev is a prolific and versatile composer, and has produced scores for orchestral works as well as being a pioneer of electronic and electroacoustic music. He provided the scores to Andrei Tarkovsky's classic movies Solaris and Stalker.
