How to use our catalogues
First, choose a recording catalogue from the left hand menu (most CDs are in the artists and bands area). Once there select the pick list "Browse by category" in the box above and choose a genre of your choice. You can then reduce the number of listings on screen by making a further selection from the sub-category menu at the right side. Most recent additions are at the top of the lists.
You can also use our improved search - click search all on the left to enter a simple text string to search for. This is quickest if you know what you are looking for. If you are just browsing try entering a word relevant to your interests. You can also find tracks by track title.
Click on site news for general info about what's new on site and some features.
Some of our catalogue is organised by label rather than genre - so you might want to explore the independent labels menu option on the left.
Our secure shopping cart gives you easy ordering, and you can pay by American Express, Visa, Mastercard, or Paypal - or send a money order by post. Our cart uses high level encryption to make sure your card details are kept private. You can place your order online, and send money by post, if you do not wish to use online payments. See below for details of how to order CDs if you wish to pay by post.
To browse our catalogues click on one of the links in the left hand panel., or use the search all option. Use the ADD TO CART buttons on the CD page or in the short summary listings (click through to the full review from the short summary). You can use the BACK browser button or the CONTINUE SHOPPING button on the cart to navigate.
When you have finished selecting recordings and you want to complete your order and pay, click on shopping cart above. You can also adjust your order there. To delete items from the cart change the quantity ordered to zero and press the recalculate button. Use the same method to order multiple copies of the same item.
If you have a voucher (discount or gift voucher) you can enter the voucher number in the cart during checkout to get your discount taken off the price.
The cart will calculate postage costs for you based on weight and location. All overseas orders are sent airmail. Within Australia, orders for one or two CDs are sent as single CD packs by airmail. Larger packs are sent via parcel post. Express mail is a cheap option to speed delivery (available within Australia only), use the shopping cart delivery zone option to choose Australia Express delivery.
Notes on the cart - you need to have cookies enabled in your browser otherwise the cart will not work. If you do not complete an order within about 30 mins the cart will time out, and you'll have to re-select the items you want. Our cart has been fully tested but - sometimes things go wrong on the internet! Servers go offline, and failures occur. Probably if you leave it a few hours and try again, you will find everything works again. But please do let us know of problems, so we can fix them!
If you prefer not to use online payments, you can still place your order on our website and then post a payment to us. Use our online shopping cart, and when you select your payment method choose MONEY ORDER. This allows you to place your order online and then post a cheque or money order to us. We accept postal orders and cheques with payment in Australian dollars only, cheques or Australia Post money orders need to be made out to "INDIE-CDS.COM" and sent to Indie-cds.com, PO Box 333, Cygnet, Tasmania 7112, Australia.

If you choose to be on our mailing list (by ticking the box on the order form), we send you a monthly email about new releases and feature. We'll also send you a notification when any band that you have bought a CD by releases a new one. Site members may also receive extra mailings with special members only offers. If you do not choose to be on our mailing list we will only contact you if there is a need to do so in relation to your order. We do not sell or release any of your personal details to any other organisation, except in cases of fraud or attempted fraud, where we may be legally required to do so.
