Welcome to Indie-CDs.com - a musician-owned venture based in Australia that sells and promotes independent music. The site features music in a wide variety of genres, including contemporary, world music, traditional, jazz, rock, classical, indie, electronica, avant-garde and experimental music. It's different from many websites that sell music in that our listings are selective - all CDs submitted are reviewed by our review panel, reviews and sound samples are posted on our site. We look for qualities in the music that make it special - something we'd want to recommend to our friends. Our listings are informative, comprehensive and attractively presented. Indie-CDs sells on a commission basis, direct to customers worldwide via its main website and via its Amazon.co.uk shop, and also has a wholesale catalogue available to shops in Australia. IndieCDs can provide CD marketing to bands based worldwide at competitive rates, and also provide the option of limited promotion to radio stations in Australia.
We also distribute for overseas independent specialist labels, including an extensive section of electronic and electroacoustic music from "Electroshock", a catalogue of avant-garde and experimental and re-issued titles from Pogus and Deep Listening Records records, and other guest CDs from overseas including titles from German experimentalist Peter Frohmader and New York label City Canyons. The website has lots of music in Real Audio format to listen to. Just click on the real audio links in the CD reviews. You'll need a recent version of Real Player, such as RealOne which you can download for free here. Some CDs also have MP3 format sound samples, to be found at the end of the review page (click on More Details in the CD summary to read the full CD review).

Electronic music section
As well as some titles in our Australian catalogue, our CD stocks now include the entire catalogue of Electroshock recordings, a major international label specialising in electronic music from around the world. This Moscow-based label has had a wide and growing influence in recent years, and among the catalogue we have some real gems, such as the previously unavailable soundtrack CD to Andrei Tarkovsky's classics of the cinema, "Solaris", "The Mirror" and "Stalker", by Edward Artemiev. Many recordings from Artemiy and Edward Artemiev are on this label, and we have a series of "Electroacoustic Music" compilation CDs from them which are excellent value.
Pogus& Deep Listening labels sign up on indie-cds
USA labels Pogus and Deep Listening have agreed to distribute their full catalogue through indie-cds.com. These are both independent labels, established for several years, that specialise in experimental music and sound design. With titles covering pure electronica, highly experimental freeform jazz, soundscape, found object music, vocal improvisation and more, the titles in these catalogues form a rich vein of sonic innovation. These are recordings that won't appeal to everyone, but if your tastes run to the more unusual, experimental and avant-garde, we recommend you explore our lists for these recordings
